Based in 1886 year as the village Scar, however, believed to have been 1892 year, when the villagers received permission to use the land. In 1913 year the station became a settlement, in 1927 year granted city status and received the name Rubtsovsk. The name given by the name of the founder – farmer Michael school of psychology, a migrant from the Samara province.
